Mommy’s Turn

It is the mother’s job to keep the order, to hold it all together, to keep the family presentable and in order. The mother is the most concerned family member with caring what other people think of her family and the children’s behavior is a reflection of her successes and failures. The Mommy’s Turn series started as a rebellion to have my turn at making a mess too. In the end I just found it freeing to interact with the world like a child would before we have “civilized them”. This form of interacting is sensory and intuitive, it follows what the body needs and is free from judgment. It is a reminder to think outside the box and to play.
